Founded in 2001 as Sorrent and rebranded as Glu Mobile in 2005 following a merger with Macrospace, Glu Mobile was a leading mobile game developer and publisher headquartered in San Francisco, California. The company built a portfolio of casual and mid-core mobile games including celebrity-branded titles, sports, and action games. Glu Mobile generated revenues of approximately $540 million in 2020 before being acquired by Electronic Arts in April 2021 for approximately $2.4 billion, becoming part of EA Mobile.
