GLM Co.

GLM Co., Ltd. is a Japanese electric vehicle company founded in April 2010, spun out of the Kyoto University Venture Business Laboratory's 'Kyoto Electric Vehicle Project.' Headquartered in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto, GLM was the first Japanese startup to obtain a domestic license to manufacture electric sports cars. The company operates two business pillars: a finished vehicle business producing electric sports cars under the Tommykaira brand (notably the Tommykaira ZZ), and an EV platform business that develops and licenses modular EV chassis and powertrain platforms to automotive partners and OEMs globally. GLM has collaborated with Asahi Kasei, Kyocera, and Teijin, and has exhibited at the Paris Motor Show and Hong Kong events.
