Geolonia

Geolonia (株式会社Geolonia) is a Japanese startup that provides location-based information infrastructure to help solve social challenges. The company operates across three business lines: web map services, location information development support, and a location platform business. Its technology supports IoT, smart city initiatives, and digital transformation for national and local governments and enterprises in Japan. Geolonia is a member of the United Nations Open GIS Initiative and has collaborated with the University of Tokyo on next-generation geocoding. The company uses open-source mapping technology including vector tiles and WebGL rendering, and has developed tools including a Japanese address normalization library and real estate ID infrastructure. In 2024, Geolonia joined the Geo Technologies Group.
