FutuRx is the leading biotechnology incubator in Israel, established in 2014 by three global healthcare leaders — Takeda (Takeda Ventures Inc.), Johnson & Johnson Innovation (JJDC), and OrbiMed Israel Partners — in partnership with the Israeli Innovation Authority of the Ministry of Economy. Operating at the Weizmann Science Park in Ness Ziona, FutuRx provides a unique model for transforming breakthrough scientific discoveries into novel medicines. The incubator bridges the gap between early concept and proof-of-concept by offering portfolio companies access to pharmaceutical and biotech expertise from its founding partners, as well as connections to leading research institutes in Israel and worldwide. FutuRx has established more than 20 portfolio companies to date, with Leaps by Bayer joining as an additional investor in 2020.
