Flinders

Flinders is a Dutch online design and home-furnishings retailer founded in 2010 in Zaandam by Geert-Jan Smits, offering more than 43,000 furniture, lighting, and home-accessory products from 150+ premium design brands such as Vitra, HAY, Muuto, and Artemide. The company operates webshops in the Netherlands and Belgium alongside two physical Designstudio showrooms in Zaandam and Ghent, a large logistics warehouse in Amsterdam, and a dedicated B2B division (Flinders Projects) serving hotels, offices, restaurants, and healthcare/education institutions. Flinders was acquired by Danish group Nine United A/S in 2021; as of mid-2026 its webshop operations are being transferred to sister brand Connox as part of a pan-European consolidation, with the Flinders brand ultimately being phased out.
