Fingerprints is a global community and platform for digital art, organized as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO). The community maintains a shared treasury and a curated collection of highly prized NFTs assembled by its curation committee, with a focus on blockchain-native and on-chain generative art. Anyone can buy a membership and join the community. Founded in March 2021, Fingerprints has assembled one of the most significant collections of on-chain art in the NFT space, including works by Larva Labs (Autoglyphs, Voxelglyph), Harm van den Dorpel, and other pioneering generative artists. The DAO transitioned to an NFT-based membership format in 2023, with membership NFTs (Voxelglyphs) designed by Larva Labs. Backers include a16z, USV, Variant Fund, and other prominent crypto-native funds.
