Finaro

Finaro (formerly Credorax) was an Israel-based digital banking and payment services company that operated as a fully licensed European commercial bank and merchant acquiring institution specializing in cross-border eCommerce payments. Founded in 1999 and rebranded from Credorax to Finaro in 2022, the company provided tailored card payment acquiring solutions, international payment processing, and omni-channel commerce technology to online merchants and marketplaces across Europe and beyond. Finaro's core offering combined its European banking license with proprietary acquiring technology to deliver high authorization rates, multi-currency settlement, and advanced fraud management for global eCommerce businesses. The company was headquartered in Malta (European banking operations) with additional offices in Israel and other markets. In October 2023, Shift4 Payments completed the acquisition of Finaro, integrating its cross-border payment capabilities and European banking infrastructure into Shift4's global commerce technology platform. Post-acquisition, the entity continues operating as Shift4 Europe (formerly Finaro).
