Filmmakers Mart (FMM) is a Lagos-based pan-African marketplace founded in 2021 that connects film production companies with the locations, logistics, talent, and equipment they need to create professional content across Africa. Built for African storytellers, FMM operates as a B2B and marketplace platform enabling producers to discover and book verified service providers — from scouting locations in Nigeria, Kenya, and other markets to sourcing crew, gear, and post-production services — all through a single digital platform. The company also runs RollPay Africa, a payroll and payments product for the creative industry. FMM has attracted investment from the IFC (International Finance Corporation) and Sony Innovation Fund to expand its digital infrastructure for Africa's growing entertainment economy, which is experiencing surging global demand for African content. By digitizing the fragmented production services sector, Filmmakers Mart aims to reduce friction and cost for productions of all scales across the continent.
