FERNRIDE delivers a comprehensive ground autonomy platform designed to automate operations in the most demanding, repetitive, and high-risk environments. The company develops vehicle-agnostic autonomy software that enables autonomous terminal tractors, yard shunting vehicles, and open-road trucks across container terminals, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, and defence logistics. FERNRIDE's Human-Assisted Autonomy approach combines AI-powered driverless operation with remote human oversight for edge cases, allowing seamless switching between autonomous and teleoperated modes. Customers including DB Schenker, Volkswagen, and HHLA use FERNRIDE to improve productivity, safety, and sustainability while reducing operational costs. In 2025, FERNRIDE became the first European company to achieve TÜV SÜD-certified autonomous trucking and operate terminal tractors without safety drivers while generating commercial revenue. The company was acquired by Quantum Systems in December 2025.
