Evolution Funding is the UK's largest used auto finance platform, founded in 2002 in Chesterfield, England. What began as a specialist motor finance intermediary operating with three directors out of a rented Chesterfield office has grown into a technology-enabled finance platform connecting over 4,500 retailers, 35+ lender partners, and millions of consumers, brokering approximately £1.5 billion in annual advances. The company offers an integrated suite of products including intelligent pre-screening, whole-of-market brokerage, direct lender integrations, digital proposal and signing journeys, and the DealerZone portal. In 2019, LDC invested to accelerate its transition from traditional brokerage to technology-enabled intermediary; in 2023, The Carlyle Group acquired the business through its Europe Technology Partners V fund.
