EverImmune is a French clinical-stage biotechnology company developing live biotherapeutic products (LBPs) in the field of microbiome oncology. Founded in 2016 as a spinoff from Gustave Roussy, the leading European cancer center, by Professor Laurence Zitvogel and Dr. Romain Daillere, the company applies cutting-edge microbiome science to address cancer immunotherapy resistance. EverImmune's lead program is Oncobax, a series of oral LBPs designed as adjuvants to existing anticancer immunotherapies. The lead candidate, Oncobax-AK, is based on a specific strain of Akkermansia muciniphila and targets patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) who are resistant to immunotherapy, with the goal of converting non-responders into responders. The company has over five years of foundational research and maintains multiple product candidates in development. EverImmune combines deep academic roots with Gustave Roussy's clinical infrastructure and aims to conduct well-designed clinical trials involving approximately 100 patients to demonstrate the therapeutic potential of microbiome modulation in oncology.
