Euroclear, or the Euroclear Group, is a Belgium-based financial market infrastructure group specializing in central securities depository (CSD) services, tracing its roots to the Euro-clear System launched in 1968 by Morgan Guaranty in Brussels to settle eurobond market trades. Euroclear Bank is one of the world's two leading international CSDs, alongside national CSDs the group operates in Belgium, Finland, France, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, and the UK. The group provides settlement, custody, asset servicing, and collateral management to financial institutions in more than 90 countries, holding roughly €37.5 trillion in assets under custody as of 2024.
