Esperanto Technologies developed high-performance, energy-efficient computing solutions based on the open-standard RISC-V instruction set architecture. As a founding member of RISC-V International, the company built the ET-SoC-1, a TSMC 7nm chip featuring over 1,000 RISC-V processor cores on a single die, targeting AI inference, HPC, and mixed AI/HPC workloads with exceptional energy efficiency. Esperanto's systems offered an alternative to GPU- and CPU-based offerings for generative AI, computer vision, transformer models, and recommendation systems. The company partnered with NEC, Intel Foundry Services, and others. Note: Esperanto Technologies has ceased operations as of 2025; its IP was acquired by Nekko.ai.
