Epsagon

Epsagon was a cloud-native observability platform providing automated distributed tracing and monitoring for microservices, serverless functions, and containerized applications. The platform auto-instrumented code with zero-touch agents to generate end-to-end traces across AWS Lambda, Kubernetes, ECS, and other cloud environments, enabling developers to visualize service dependencies, detect anomalies, and troubleshoot performance issues without manual instrumentation. Epsagon's approach combined distributed tracing with correlated logs and metrics to reduce mean time to resolution for production incidents. Founded in Tel Aviv in 2018, the company was acquired by Cisco in 2021 for approximately $500 million, and its technology was integrated into Cisco's full-stack observability portfolio.
