Engility Holdings

Engility Holdings, Inc. was an American publicly traded government services contractor that provided systems engineering, technical, and logistics support to U.S. Armed Forces and civilian federal agencies. Headquartered in Chantilly, Virginia, the company was formed in 2012 as a spin-off of the services division of L-3 Communications (later L3 Technologies). Engility expanded through acquisitions including Dynamics Research Corporation (2014) and rival contractor TASC (2015), growing to roughly 11,000 employees and about $1.93 billion in annual revenue by 2017. Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) acquired Engility in an all-stock deal valued at approximately $2.5 billion, completed on January 14, 2019, after which the Engility brand was retired.
