EnGen

EnGen is a public benefit company whose mission is to remove English as a barrier for New Americans. Founded by Katie Brown, Ph.D., after she designed language-learning software and authored ten patents at Voxy, EnGen delivers a skills-focused, virtual English language learning platform for organizations and employers working with limited-English-proficient employees. Its patented, mobile-first content delivery engine personalizes sector-specific lessons—for example, customer-service English for Walmart workers and food-safety English for Chobani employees. EnGen tailors each implementation to employers, community organizations, or institutions so immigrants, refugees, and speakers of other languages can gain career-ready English, credentials, and pathways to family-sustaining jobs.
