Elucid Labs is a MedTech company that specializes in developing augmented intelligence imaging solutions for the early detection and diagnosis of skin cancer. Its proprietary imaging technology, AIDA, analyzes the molecular makeup of the skin at different layers, creating a unique fingerprint for each mole or lesion, which is translated into clinical informatics using AI to assist dermatologists in making faster, better decisions. By enabling earlier detection, the technology aims to reduce treatment costs and minimize unnecessary biopsies. The company was spun out of University of Waterloo research.
