Earth Rover

Earth Rover is a UK agritech start-up pioneering the use of concentrated light for autonomous weed control, on a mission to transform and future-proof farming. Founded in 2017, the company developed CLAWS, an AI and robotics-based platform that uses concentrated light beams to eliminate weeds at their growing point without chemical herbicides or soil disturbance, helping farmers reduce costs, waste less of what they grow, and make fresh, chemical-free produce more available and affordable. Headquartered in Edgmond, Newport, Earth Rover has secured £2.8 million in investment, sold its first eight commercial CLAWS units, and is scaling production for international expansion.
