About

Dunzo was an Indian hyperlocal delivery startup founded in July 2014 in Bengaluru by Kabeer Biswas, Ankur Agarwal, Dalvir Suri, and Mukund Jha. The platform provided 24x7 on-demand delivery of groceries, fresh food, medicines, meat, pet supplies, and packages across eight major Indian cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai. Backed by Google and Reliance Retail (which led a $240 million round in 2022 for a 25.8% stake), Dunzo raised over $450 million in total. The company expanded into quick commerce with Dunzo Daily in 2021, promising 19-minute delivery. Following intense competition, financial difficulties, and management exits, Dunzo shut down its app and website on January 14, 2025.
