Discovery, Inc. was a global media and entertainment company founded in 1985 and headquartered in New York, New York. The company operated a portfolio of cable television networks, digital properties, and streaming platforms reaching audiences in more than 220 countries and territories. Discovery's brands included Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, HGTV, Food Network, and the Discovery+ streaming service. The company specialised in factual, lifestyle, sports, and educational content across television, digital media, virtual reality, and multiplatform formats. With more than 10,000 employees, Discovery was one of the world's largest pay-TV programmers. In April 2022, Discovery merged with WarnerMedia to form Warner Bros. Discovery, a new premier global media and entertainment conglomerate.
