Daylight is building the world's largest decentralized energy network by equipping homeowners with solar panels and battery storage at zero upfront cost. Homeowners pay a monthly subscription for below-market energy rates and participate in the Daylight network by sharing excess battery power back to the grid during peak demand. Participants earn 'Sun Points' redeemable for gift cards, merchandise, or subscription credits. The company was co-founded in 2022 by Jason Badeaux, Udit Patel, and Evan Caron, and raised $75M including $15M in equity led by Framework Ventures (with a16z crypto, Coinbase Ventures, Lerer Hippeau, M13) and a $60M project development facility led by Turtle Hill Capital.
