About
Early Dawn Microfinance Company Limited (DAWN) is one of Myanmar's largest and most prominent microfinance institutions, originally launched in 2002 as a program under Save the Children International and spun out as an independent company in 2015 with investment from Accion International, FMO (Dutch Development Bank), and Triodos Investment Management. DAWN provides a wide range of financial services — including individual and group lending programs — to underserved microentrepreneurs, women vendors, small manufacturers, and low-income households across Myanmar. Registered with Myanmar's Ministry of Planning, Finance and Industry, DAWN operates with a deposit-taking license and is driven by a vision to improve lives through financial inclusion.
