Cydan & Cydan II

Cydan is an orphan drug accelerator dedicated to developing therapies for people living with rare genetic diseases. Founded in 2013 and headquartered at Technology Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Cydan identifies and de-risks experimental therapies with high potential for rare conditions, then launches new companies to advance them through clinical development. The accelerator has evaluated nearly 20 projects, launched multiple clinical-stage companies including Vtesse, Imara, and Tiburio, and raised over $220 million from leading life sciences investors. Cydan II extended the mission with a $34 million financing in 2017.
