Cyberdesk is a self-learning computer use agent platform for developers to automate legacy desktop application workflows, founded in 2025 by Mahmoud Al-Madi and Alan Duong and backed by Y Combinator (Summer 2025 batch). The company builds the first computer use agent that memorizes tasks and repeats them quickly while still adapting to unexpected changes on screen. Cyberdesk operates as a layer on top of computer use AI models, enabling developers to automate Windows desktop applications 3-5x faster and at lower cost than standard computer use agents. Primary customers include companies in healthcare automating electronic health record (EHR) systems, finance teams automating legacy accounting applications, construction, and other industries using manual desktop workflows. Mahmoud previously built robotic process automation solutions impacting 20,000+ employees at a Fortune 100 company. Alan is an ex-NASA engineer and second-time founder.
