Curamys

Curamys Inc. is a South Korean biotechnology company focused on developing cell and gene therapies and diagnostic technologies for rare and intractable diseases using its proprietary cell fusion platform. The company's core cell fusion technology involves fusing fusogenic stem cells with unhealthy or dying cells to restore cellular function — a novel approach not previously attempted in therapeutic development — with programs targeting Duchenne muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and other rare diseases. Curamys also develops miRNA-based therapies by targeting specific miRNA implicated in rare disease pathogenesis, and is building cell fusion-based diagnostic technologies to identify genetic contributors to rare diseases without known causes. In December 2022, MaxCyte signed a strategic platform license agreement with Curamys to enable its cell and gene therapy pipeline.
