Cross-Border Impact Ventures (CBIV) is an impact-driven venture capital firm founded in 2021 and based in Toronto, Canada. The firm is on a mission to be the preferred investor for transformative health technology companies with the potential to meet the needs of women, children, and adolescents across global markets. CBIV invests in health technology companies at the early commercialization stage, including software, medical device, and diagnostic companies primarily in North America and Europe, with a focus on reaching underserved populations in the Global South. The firm launched its first Women's and Children's Health Technology Fund, which exceeded $90 million USD in committed capital. Portfolio companies sign impact pledges to achieve significant health impact in low- and middle-income countries while also growing commercially. CBIV was co-founded by Managing Partner Annie Thériault, who brings extensive experience in impact investing, venture capital, royalty financing, and capital markets.
