Credora

Credora was a zero-knowledge credit infrastructure company for decentralized finance, originally founded in 2019 as X-Margin before rebranding to Credora in August 2022. The company built "the Credit Oracle" — technology combining trusted execution environments (TEEs) and zero-knowledge proofs to generate standardized, real-time credit and risk ratings for DeFi protocols and institutional borrowers without exposing the underlying sensitive financial data. Credora's tooling let lending markets like Morpho Vaults and Spark assess counterparty and vault risk transparently, with rated strategies shown to grow up to 25% faster than unrated peers. The company raised roughly $16M across two rounds — a $10.16M Series A in August 2021 (while still X-Margin) led by Coinbase Ventures, HashKey Capital, and The Spartan Group, with participation from Bixin Ventures, Gemini, Kenetic Capital, and Primitive Ventures, followed by a further raise in 2023. In September 2025, crypto oracle network RedStone acquired Credora in a strategic move to combine real-time price feeds with risk ratings under one roof, aiming to unlock capital efficiency for an estimated $100B+ of institutional DeFi capital. Credora's co-founders Darshan Vaidya and Matt Ficke joined RedStone as strategic advisors, and Credora's risk-ratings product now operates as "Credora by RedStone," live on protocols including Morpho and Spark as of November 2025 — the company no longer operates as an independent standalone entity at credora.io.
