Concha Labs is a hearing technology company that develops self-fitting, over-the-counter hearing aids for people with mild to moderate hearing loss. Founded in 2017 by Amy Li, a lifelong hearing aid user, the company created the Concha Sol hearing aids featuring its patented Soundscope personalization technology, which builds a custom sound profile by testing how each user hears speech in noise — a clinically validated approach shown in a University of Minnesota trial to produce statistically significant improvements compared to clinician-fitted hearing aids. The Concha Sol aids are FDA-cleared, priced at $1,299 per pair, and can be set up at home in about 30 minutes via the companion iOS app. Concha Labs has received awards including a CES Award, AgeTech Collaborative AARP Award, and NSF Award, and is backed by Draper Associates, Cantos Ventures, Berkeley SkyDeck, and the UCSF Rosenman Institute.
