About
CommonLit was founded in 2013 when Michelle Brown published 30 lessons online after completing a research project at Harvard University. Over the past decade, the CommonLit team built on that beginning with an easy-to-use, affordable program that thousands of schools now rely on to accelerate student learning. In 2016, CommonLit launched a brand new digital platform with an interactive version of the website featuring quizzes and data, and followed with the launch of CommonLit 360 in 2021.
