Ciitizen was a patient-empowerment platform that collected, organized, and summarized patients' complete medical records from all providers into a single digital health profile. Founded after CEO Anil Sethi left Apple's Director of Health Records role, Ciitizen gave patients and caregivers control over their full health data to improve care coordination and enable research. The platform operated at no cost to patients and was used by those navigating complex, multi-specialist conditions. Apple acquired Ciitizen in 2021 to advance its health records initiatives.
