Chengyuan Bio (呈源生物, also known as RootPath) is a Chinese synthetic biology and cell therapy company founded in 2017 and incubated by Nest.BioVentures. The company developed the PathFinder™ platform, a proprietary high-throughput, long-fragment gene synthesis technology capable of assembling thousands of gene sequences in a single reaction with high accuracy and at significantly reduced cost. Chengyuan Bio applies this platform to TCR-T cell therapy for solid tumors, building the world's largest fully synthetic TIL-derived TCR gene library to identify potent tumor-reactive T-cell receptors for personalized cancer immunotherapy. Backed by Sequoia China, Matrix Partners China, Dingxin Investment, and others, the company raised approximately $50M across seed, Series A, and Series B rounds.
