Castle Global, Inc. (operating as Hive) is an AI company that builds cloud-based models to help enterprises understand, search, moderate, and generate content. Founded in January 2017 in San Francisco by Kevin Guo (CEO) and Dmitriy Karpman (CTO) — both Stanford computer science alumni — Hive grew out of their earlier mobile Q&A platform Kiwi, where the team built internal AI content moderation tools that became the seed of Hive's product. The company offers a suite of API-based AI models spanning visual, text, and audio content moderation; logo and celebrity recognition; AI-generated content detection; reverse image search; speech-to-text; translation; and generative image and video models. Central to Hive's business is its data labeling platform, Hive Micro, which maintains a distributed workforce of over 5 million registered contributors globally who annotate over 10 million items daily. Notable customers include Reddit, Walmart, BeReal, Visa, Disney, Vevo, and Quora.
