Casana is innovating healthcare delivery with a smart toilet seat that enables effortless, integrated, and consistent in-home health monitoring. The Smart Seat replaces a standard toilet seat and passively reads vital signs — including heart rate, HRV, blood oxygen (SpO2), respiration, and blood-pressure trends — every time a person sits, requiring no wearable, no charging, and nothing new to learn. Built on a decade of clinical research and backed by General Catalyst, Matrix, Morningside, Outsiders Fund, Kaiser Permanente, and Bemis (the world's largest toilet-seat manufacturer), the Smart Seat received FDA clearance in 2023 and began shipping in mid-2026. Designed and manufactured in Rochester, New York, it targets independent aging adults and their caregivers.
