Caravel

Caravel was a Portland, Oregon-based voice-of-customer (VoC) analytics platform founded in 2020 and part of the Techstars Seattle 2020 cohort. The platform organized and analyzed customer conversations across channels — including voice recordings, support tickets, reviews, and chat logs — to help fast-growing businesses identify urgent customer priorities and act quickly when customers expressed dissatisfaction. By applying continuous monitoring to unstructured voice and text data, Caravel enabled customer success and product teams to surface themes, detect sentiment shifts, and close the loop on feedback in real time. The company raised approximately $1.59 million to $1.84 million in funding from investors including Curious VC, Polymath Capital Partners, Techstars, and Unpopular Ventures. Caravel was acquired by Commsor, a community management platform, in August 2022.
