Cape Union Mart

Cape Union Mart was founded in 1933 in Cape Town with a vision to create a unique shopping experience for locals and tourists. Over nearly a century, it has grown into South Africa's favourite outdoor adventure retail group, specialising in hiking, camping, trail running, mountain biking, snow sports, travel, and safari equipment and apparel. The group operates the Cape Union Mart, Old Khaki, and Poetry retail chains, with over 116 physical stores across Southern Africa as well as a growing e-commerce presence. Cape Union Mart also manufactures its own in-house brand K-Way, which is produced with a strong philosophy of sustainability through reducing, reusing, and recycling materials. The company is a third-generation family business headquartered in Cape Town.
