Calysta is a world leader in cellular agriculture, developing and commercializing sustainable single-cell protein ingredients for aquaculture, livestock, and pet feed markets through a patented natural gas fermentation platform. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Menlo Park, California, the company's flagship product FeedKind is produced without arable land, plant, or animal inputs, powered by renewable energy, and designed to address global food security and biodiversity challenges at scale. Calysta operates its first commercial FeedKind production facility in China through its Calysseo joint venture with Adisseo, and has raised over $100 million from investors including BP Ventures, Cargill, and Temasek.
