Bukapo

BukaPO is a community pre-order web-based marketplace founded in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, connecting home-based food businesses and micro-entrepreneurs with individual and corporate customers in Indonesia. The platform was co-founded by Olaf Purvis and Timothy Darren to support micro and small businesses—particularly home chefs, 90% of whom are women—by giving them access to broader markets through a digital pre-order system. BukaPO has grown to connect over 4,000 home chefs across Indonesia, primarily in Bali, and has expanded to serve 20+ chain hotels including Marriott, Accor, and IHG with catering and food delivery. The platform provides sellers with affiliate tools, flash sale capabilities, an easy delivery system, and business education to help micro-entrepreneurs grow sustainable businesses. BukaPO raised seed funding in early 2025 backed by BIC Venture Capital and elea, and operates as one of the first profitable community commerce platforms in the Indonesian food and beverage sector.
