Brighter

Brighter was a digital health company that built a marketplace and SaaS platform connecting patients, dentists, and insurers to improve access to and affordability of dental care. Its technology enabled consumers to compare dentists by price and reputation, while its B2B2C platform allowed health insurers — including Cigna and Aetna — to offer members a transparent, consumer-friendly dental benefits experience. At the time of acquisition, Brighter's network included approximately 75,000 dentists connected to multiple major insurers. Cigna acquired Brighter in December 2017 to accelerate its digital transformation and enhance its 11 million Dental PPO member experience.
