Biotalys

Biotalys is a Ghent, Belgium-based agricultural biotechnology company founded in 2013 as a spin-off from VIB (Flanders Institute for Biotechnology), listed on Euronext Brussels since July 2021. The company develops protein-based biocontrol solutions for sustainable crop protection in both pre- and post-harvest markets through its proprietary AGROBODY Foundry platform. Biotalys approach leverages the natural protein-binding properties of camelid antibody fragments (nanobodies) to create highly targeted, effective, and environmentally friendly alternatives to conventional chemical pesticides. The company solutions address fungal, insect, and other pest threats while meeting the growing demand from growers, food processors, and retailers for sustainable agricultural inputs. Biotalys has entered into strategic partnerships with major agri-businesses including Syngenta, and continues to advance its product pipeline through regulatory approval processes globally.
