BioOrbit

BioOrbit is a London-based space manufacturing company founded in 2023 that develops hardware for the large-scale crystallisation of protein antibody drugs in microgravity. The company's platform enables pharmaceutical-grade manufacturing of biologic drugs aboard the International Space Station, where the absence of gravity produces superior protein crystals with the potential to enable subcutaneous self-injection of treatments — including cancer therapies — that currently require intravenous hospital delivery. BioOrbit's first ISS payload (November 2024) supported 500+ crystal-growth experiments for pharma partners; its Baby BOX-E payload launched on SpaceX SpX-34 in May 2026. The company is an alumnus of ESA BIC UK, Seraphim Space, Airbus UK Space Accelerator, and Tech Nation Future Fifty, and raised a £9.8M ($13.2M) seed round in April 2026.
