Beta Finance is a permissionless money market protocol on Ethereum for lending, borrowing, and shorting crypto assets, letting tokens be listed permissionlessly so users can access a scalable market without a centralized order book — shorts are routed through decentralized exchanges using automated market makers. The protocol follows an isolated collateral model to safely support more volatile assets and offers a '1-Click Short' tool. Beta Finance was launched by Allen Lee, an MIT alumnus and former Microsoft and Facebook engineer, and is backed by investors including Spartan Group, ParaFi Capital, Multicoin Capital, DeFiance Capital, and Delphi Digital.
