Beads Co., Ltd. operates 'Beads House' (ビーズの家), a hospice housing concept in Fukuoka, Japan that provides a residential alternative to hospitals and in-home care for individuals in the terminal stages of cancer or intractable neurological diseases. Each facility features 24-hour on-site nursing and care stations, private rooms with family-accessible amenities, and support for advanced medical treatments including chemotherapy, narcotics management, and respiratory care, all in collaboration with local medical institutions. The company opened its first facility, Beads House Minamikatae, in Fukuoka in December 2023 and achieved over 80% occupancy within a year. In January 2025, Beads raised approximately 1 billion yen in a Series A round led by Eight Roads Ventures Japan to fund expansion and new facility openings.
