AxeTrading is a London-based financial technology company specializing in fixed income electronic trading solutions for buy-side firms, sell-side institutions, agency brokers, and exchanges. Founded in 2009, the company built the AxeTrader Quoting and Execution Management System (QEMS), an award-winning platform providing connectivity to all major fixed income trading venues including Bloomberg, TradeWeb, and MarketAxess. AxeTrading's platform features a highly flexible, customizable pricing and quote management engine supporting market making, bond pricing, order execution, and automated workflow management across corporate bonds, government bonds, municipal bonds, emerging market bonds, and OTC interest rate swaps. The company supports connectivity options including Voice, E-platforms, SEF, and STP, with post-trade integration for regulatory reporting. AxeTrading raised $12.5M in total funding across multiple rounds including a Series A in 2020 backed by Illuminate Financial and Stone & Chalk. In March 2023, AxeTrading was acquired by Trading Technologies International, a global capital markets technology platform provider, significantly expanding TT's multi-asset fixed income capabilities. Following the acquisition, the AxeTrading brand was retired.
