Aviir was a venture-funded biotechnology company that discovered, developed, and commercialized molecular diagnostic laboratory tests focused on cardiovascular disease, providing personalized information to physicians for accurate diagnosis and prognosis. The company developed cutting-edge proteomics-based tests to identify patients at near-term risk of heart attack or stroke. Aviir was based in the San Francisco Bay Area and received backing from Pfizer Venture Investments, among others, before being wound down.
