Autonopia

Autonopia is a Vancouver-area robotics company developing autonomous robots for high-rise window and facade cleaning. Its flagship VERTEX robot uses AI, mechatronics, and motion control to rappel any building surface, completing window cleaning projects 60-70% faster than manual labor while eliminating the safety risks for workers. Founded in 2019 by CEO Mohammad Dabiri and CTO Hossein Kamali (PhD Mechatronics, SFU), the company participated in the Stanley + Techstars Accelerator in 2022 and received a Mitacs Outstanding Entrepreneur Award in 2021. Autonopia targets the North American market where labor shortages of up to 200,000 workers exist in the civil-structure maintenance sector.
