Arbortext

Arbortext is an enterprise technical publishing software company founded in 1982 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Its XML-based authoring and publishing tools let organizations automate the creation, management, and delivery of technical content, product information, and parts catalogs, supporting single-source dynamic publishing across documentation and the field. Arbortext was acquired by PTC for approximately $190 million in cash in June 2005, at which point it had around 250 employees and roughly $40 million in trailing annual revenue. Arbortext continues today as a set of technical-documentation products within PTC's portfolio.
