About
Anoncoin (ANC) is an open-source, peer-to-peer digital cryptocurrency created in June 2013 that focuses on privacy and anonymity for its users. It is the first and only cryptocurrency to have built-in support for both the I2P darknet and Tor network, which conceal the IP address of the user. Built as a fork of Litecoin, Anoncoin uses the Scrypt proof-of-work algorithm and integrates Zerocoin protocol support for enhanced transaction privacy. The project is community-driven and open-source, with its codebase hosted on GitHub. Development activity has been minimal since late 2020.
