Andes Technology Corporation is a Taiwan-based, publicly listed (TWSE: 6533) semiconductor intellectual property company and leading commercial supplier of RISC-V CPU cores. Founded in March 2005 in Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan, Andes designs high-performance, low-power 32/64-bit embedded processor IP that licensees integrate into custom system-on-chip designs for AI, IoT, automotive, storage, and consumer electronics applications. The company holds approximately 30% global market share in RISC-V CPU IP and is a Founding Premier member of RISC-V International. By 2020, cumulative SoC shipments incorporating Andes CPU IP had surpassed 5 billion units. Its product portfolio spans the AndesCore N/A/V/S/X series targeting microcontroller-class through application-processor-class workloads, as well as AI-accelerated RISC-V cores. In 2023, Andes established Condor Computing in the United States to develop ultra-high-performance RISC-V CPU IP targeting server and data center markets. The company has approximately 100–200 employees and serves semiconductor companies worldwide.
