Building world models for advanced machine intelligence
AMI Labs is an AI research company co-founded by Turing Award winner Yann LeCun and CEO Alexandre LeBrun. The company is developing world models — AI that learns from reality and sensory data rather than language alone — using Joint Embedding Predictive Architecture (JEPA). AMI Labs plans to publish open research and open-source code as it advances from fundamental research toward commercial applications in sectors including healthcare. The company raised a $1.03 billion seed round at a $3.5 billion pre-money valuation in March 2026, backed by investors including Cathay Innovation, Greycroft, Nvidia, Samsung, and Bezos Expeditions.
