Alkimiya is a market protocol for fundamental metrics, letting users trade and build strategies around measurable, verifiable real-economy signals such as blockspace demand, onchain revenue, stablecoin flows, and macroeconomic indicators rather than speculating on price hype. Its flagship product, Forecast, turns these fundamental metrics into live, liquid, tradable markets with continuous payoffs (instead of binary win/loss outcomes) and bounded risk through built-in caps and floors. Launched publicly in August 2024 after years of research, Alkimiya is backed by investors including Dragonfly, Castle Island Ventures, 1kx, Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures, Tribe Capital, Mirana, GMR, and Robot Ventures. Operating earlier under the name Anicca Research, the team raised a $7.2 million funding round in January 2023 to build decentralized capital markets for blockspace, aimed at miners and stakers seeking to hedge cash-flow risk.
